Serving Teams
It only takes a moment’s thought to appreciate that there is a lot of activity in the background to make even a small church plant operate effectively and smoothly. We aim to involve as many people as possible in our range of serving teams. Everyone should have opportunity to serve in the church as far as possible! At the same time, we try to operate in a way that means no-one is always in action.
Our current serving teams, with their leaders, are as follows:

Is everything ready to go by 10.00am on Sunday? This team will do the job and make it look effortless. When you have left the building, they will pack everything away ready for next week. The staff at the Mount Pleasant Hotel provide a substantial level of input to the set-up process, especially the tea and coffee! – Thank you Mount Pleasant Hotel!

For our frequent Sunday shared lunches and other events. Everyone tends to contribute here so the leader's role is minimal and a joy!

Treasure Seekers (Kid’s church!)

Sandy Bray

With their own range of special facilities and locations in the premises, Treasure Seekers are well catered for. A creature and fun programme awaits them each Sunday, led by enthusiastic church members. Special arrangements can be made for very young children with parents in sight and sound of the main service. The church weekend away includes very special fun consideration for Treasure Seekers – don’t miss out!

We have some great musicians who really know God and how to worship and lead others in worship. Our band alternates on Sunday mornings with part band and single musician presentations. Come worship the Lord!

Finance and Admin

Gaius Wilson
Most careful stewardship of our finances, since we are and always have been, fully self funded. We are also served by and accountable to the Finance Teams at Worcester Hope Church and Bristol Bridge Community Church.

Communications
Jeff Steady
Mark Franklin and other authors and IT staff.
We use all manner of communications of course, but we are thinking here of press releases and news articles for radio and newspapers; our website; and advertising and publicity.

Preachers

Jeff Steady

Jeff co-ordinates the training of our own Malvern Life team of preachers and leaders, and their serving rota. We invite quality guest speakers at regular intervals to ensure exposure to fresh and stimulating thoughts and appreciation of God’s word.

Other teams – and a big thank you!
These are key teams without which we would likely wither very quickly. So a big thank you to all those who serve in the teams. There is a lot of other activity also, around outreach and evangelism, prayer and other events, pastoral care, and planning and delivery of future events and strategies. The latter for instance include our Alpha, Parenting and Marriage courses, Amazing Grace events, and Fun Day and other street initiatives, all of which demand significant levels of input from a range of able people. We try to involve as many as possible – and this even includes non church members at times!
