Life Groups
As well as belonging to our church, we encourage all those involved in Malvern Life to join a ‘Life Group’. These are smaller groups within the church that meet in one another’s homes, usually one weeknight each week. At this stage, there are two Life Groups whose focus includes:
· Sharing and caring for each other
· Learning together from the Bible
· Praying for shared concerns and needs
· Social events for neighbours, friends and relatives
· Outreach to the community.
Our two groups are currently arranged by age, with the 16 - 30s' Life Group being led by Tim Silk and Dave Bray, and the over 40's being led by Mark Franklin. We also meet all together once a month, during which time we share what God has been saying to us in our respective Life Groups with each other. For 2012, the driving force behind everything we will do in Life Groups is "being a prayerful, prophetic and prepared people". If you are interested in joining one of the groups, please speak to Tim or Mark. They will be happy to talk with you.
In addition, a men’s group has been operating for a year or more and operates largely on a friendship basis. It comprises church members, past Alpha course delegates, and other friends. It is open to all, meets in the daytime, and sometimes consists entirely of drinking coffee and conversation. Often the conversation centres around Christian issues. The group meets in each others homes or in local hotels or coffee shops. There is a linked Men’s Curry Club that is highly regarded by us all.
