If you didn;t know already, you will have heard it today. These are difficult times economically across the nations.

Britain is not excluded. If I remember rightly the present procession of eceonomic scares began with sub prime mortgages on housing in USA. Thatmeans banks were lending money they were not sure they would get back. Asa result they were shpowing assets on their balance sheets with seriously less than true value. Right?

From subsequent events it is hard to argue British banks were without blemish in that area. Try to get a bank loan now without a big deposit!
